Hi, I’m Karen—owner, maker, and the hands behind Bessie Pearl Binding Co. I started this business from my home in 2016, shortly after my daughter was born. Bessie Pearl is named in honor of my grandmothers, Bessie Hammock and Pearl Mosley—two strong, creative women who inspired me to make things with care and intention.
Today, I still sew every piece of binding on Bessie’s vintage Featherweight machine, a daily reminder of where it all began.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me in the kitchen trying a new recipe, chasing around foster kittens, or squeezing in a workout. I'm so glad you're here and can’t wait to be a part of your sewing story.
